Yoga Classes for All
The original Hotel Washington owner, Ben Johnson, was known for his exuberance and love for dance. If Ben were still here today, we think he’d be the first to sign up for yoga, art or many of the other workshops and special events held in our studio.
May to October, we offer regularly scheduled yoga classes, including vinyasa flow, chair yoga, and restorative yoga. Learn more about our yoga teachers and the classes they teach. “Frequent flyer” cards are offered at a discount; Hotel guests receive special rate as well. Drop-ins welcome.
Private and Group Sessions
Need to unwind? Relax, stretch, and challenge yourself with a private yoga class. Yoga Instructor Sarah Littero is available for private and small group sessions. $35 for a 60 minute class, and $10 for every additional person. Perfect for a getaway retreat or bachelorette party. Contact Sarah.
Our Studio, Your Workshop
The ferry boat ride away from the mainland lifts the weight of everyday life from your shoulders, making the Island a perfect destination for a retreat. We offer our facilities for yoga, art, writing, and team building retreats and classes. Our Studio features:
950 square feet dedicated to movement, creativity and more
Bamboo floors comfortable for yoga and other movement arts, or standing at an easel or table
Plenty of equipment for use by workshop and retreat leaders, including chairs, tables, yoga mats, blocks, and blankets
Infrared heating panels that quickly and efficiently bring the room to a comfortable temp, even in the chilliest conditions
Set up in a classroom style, the studio easily accommodates 50 people
Opening the huge sliding door on one wall brings the outdoors inside on mild days
Adjacent to the main Hotel – convenient for rooms and meals for retreat participants
